Study on the Spreading Method of Sheet Metal Parts Considering Outside Normal

For some disadvantages in the practice of existing radial spreading method,a new radial spreading approach with a concern of outside normal direction,which was based on geometric mapping method and triangle meshes,was developed to resolve blank design problem of sheet metal part with or without hole features.Through practical application,the effectiveness and usefulness of this approach are evaluated,and the development result is more reasonable,meanwhile,the obtained blank shape will be a better initial values in the application of one-step quickly analysis and optimum.
