Research on HEV Drive Characteristics Based on ADBRM

The application of the anti-directional-bi-rotor motor(ADBRM) to hybrid vehicles makes the assumption of construct a differential gearless four-wheel drive powertrain with the functions of propelling,differential and regeneration conveniently.Taking the type of permanent magnet brushless DC motor as an example,the stable operating condition of the ADBRM was discussed.Furthermore,a mathematical model of a certain hybrid sport utility vehicle(SUV) was built up to estimate the dynamics and economics.Finally,contradistinctive research was carried out between the original SUV and the hybrid SUV in condition of European city cycle.The results reveal the HEV saves 21.09% gas consumption and with a better performance in dynamics.
