Study on Atomization Property of an Ultrasonic Vibration Atomization System Based on Longitudinal and Flexural Vibration Conversion

A new ultrasonic vibration atomization system was proposed,which was composed of the piezoelectric longitudinal Langevin transducer and flexural vibration disc.The flexural vibration disc was connected to the end of the transducer with its periphery and made flexural vibration driven by the horn.The coolant liquid reached the disc through the axial hole and was atomized by the disc surface.The vibration property,radiation resistance and the sonic field of the system were analyzed theoretically and experimentally.It is shown from the results that the new system has higher power outputs and makes the mist of more working energy and better directionality.
