Experimental Research of Motorcar Fire

The preparative procedure of motorcar fire experiments, and the methods of image pick up,image analysis and determining parameters such as temperature on the fire scene and heat release rate were described. The variation regularity of the parameters vs time was obtained in the experiment of motorcar fire. The research shows that there is a favorable opportunity for person to escape and to fight fires during the initial 15 minutes after the ignition of a motorcar.
