Digestion kinetics analysis of silicon and aluminum during kaolinite-water-CO_2 interaction

This paper provides experimental parameters for CO2-ECBM by identifying characteristics of kaolinite-CO2-water.Under 25,35 and 45℃,dissolved quantity of silicon and aluminum during interaction between kaolinite and carbonic acid solution with pH value of 4.3,5.0and 5.7were measured.With experimental tests of energy spectrum analysis(EDS)and Xray diffraction analysis(XRD),element change rule and crystal structure variation were investigated,and the reaction kinetics model was also established.The results show that dissolved quantity of silicon is more than that of aluminum,the dissolved quantity of silicon increases first and then decreases with the progress of reaction and the data fluctuate greatly,but the law for aluminum is not obvious;the content of silicon in solid-state decreases first and then increases during reaction,but the content of crystal structure remain unchanged;dissolving rule of silicon matches diffusion control model,i.e.1-(1-X)1/3=kt.The apparent activation energy is 27.56,29.62 and 30.48kJ/mol respectively when pH value is 4.3,5.0and 5.7.When pHvalue gets smaller,the apparent activation energy becomes lower,and the reaction speed becomes faster.
