Geology Condition Analysis for Unconventional Gas Co-exploration and Concurrent Production in Linxing Area

The paper makes a systematic analysis of geological conditions for exploration and development of three types of non conventional natural gases. The results show that Linxing area has superior formation conditions for CBM, shale gas and compact sandstone gas and excellent allocative relation. Natural gases accumulate in three kinds of reservoir, namely, coal seam, shale, and compact sandstone, and form continuous mineral deposits. The paper points out that exploration and development of the non-conventional natural gases, people should follow the following principles: in eastern shallow layers, joint exploration and co-exploitation should be carried out in Taiyuan formation CBM, shale gas and Shanxi formation CBM; in western deep layers, joint exploration and co-extraction should concentrate on Shanxi formation shale gas, compact sandstone gas and Taiyuan formation compact sandstone gas.
