Iqe Coalfield Eastern Exploration Area No.7 Coal Seam Stability Prediction through Caliper Well Logging Data

Luan Anhui,Pan Yulu and Tian Guifa(Qinghai Coal Geological Exploration Institute,Xining,Qinghai 810001)  
During coalfield well logging,the changing of borehole diameter will interfere other well logging parameters.But through the use of diameter relative variances(borehole diameter enlargement coefficient) can effectively estimate rock strength grading and coal seam roof and floor stability.Through statistics of 29 boreholes diameter variances in Iqe coalfield eastern exploration area graded No.7 coal roof stability into 5 grades based on rock compressive strength grading principle,and drafted No.7 coal roof stability distribution map of the coalfield.
