Research Development on Profitable Phytoremediation toward Cadmium Contaminated Cultivated Soil

Phytoremediation is essential for remediation of cadmium(Cd) contaminated cultivated soil,while balancing the effect of soil remediation and economic benefit is key to application and popularization of phytoremediation technology. Herewith,this review proposed a concept of profitable phytoremediation. According to utilization purpose,profitable plants were divided into three categories: non-edible,safe edible,and optional edible,and their remediation ability among common profitable plants were summarized,as well as their planting cost and economic benefit. This will provide a reference for popularizing phytoremediation toward Cd contaminated cultivated soil and screening suitable alternative crops for planting structure adjustment.
