THE CLINICAL APPLICATION OF ENDOSCOPIC THYROIDECTOMY

Objective:In order to evaluate the feasibility and the practicality of endoscopic thyroidectomy, a new way of minimally invasive technique.Method:Thyroidectomy was performed in 25 cases endoscopically, which have thyroid disease. Result:Total 25 patients underwent endoscopic thyroidectomy All cases succeeded with 146 minutes of average operation period; The average postoperative hospitalization was 4 days (3~7days); No conversion, No damage of recurrent laryngeal nerve or parathyroid glands.Conclusion:Compared with conventional operation, endoscopic thyroidectomy achieves better cosmetic result and with minimal incision in concealed place, the quality of life of patients is improved.
