Diagnostic value of ductoscopy in patients without nipple discharge

[Objective] To assess the diagnostic value of ductoscopy in patients without nipple discharge. [Methods] 165 cases of breast disease without nipple discharge were performed by ductoscopy. Those abnormal were followed by surgery and histopathologic diagnosis. [Results] Of 165 cases, 9 were normal. Among the rest cases, there were ductal ectasia in 45 cases, galactophoritis in 84 cases, intraductal papilloma in 6 cases, intraductal papillomatosis in 18 cases and 3 ductal carcinoma in situ. The accord rate of pathological diagnosis with FDS was 64.1%. [Conclusions] Fiberoptic ductoscopy has certain clinical significance in patients without nipple discharge?
