Analysis of Land Use Driving Forces Based on Canonical Correspondence Analysis in Dianchi Lake Basin

The formation of land use pattern is influenced by a variety of factors,and identifications of driving forces of different land use types are helpful to adjust the pattern and thus achieve the purpose of optimization. This paper utilizes the method of Canonical Correspondence Analysis( CCA) to analyze the driving forces of spatial distribution pattern in Dianchi Lake Basin quantitatively and comprehensively based on land use and natural socio-economic data of Kunming in 2008,and then compares CCA results and those from logistic regression to verify the reasonableness of CCA being used in the area of driving force analysis. The results show that farmland and construction distributions of Dianchi Lake Basin are manly affected by the socio-economic development factors while woodland and grassland distributions are mainly affected by topography,soil and other natural factors. CCA results and logistic regression results are basically the same and it is an effective method of driving force analysis. In the context of the concept of returning farmland to forests and protection of natural habitats,the keys to optimize land use pattern of Dianchi Lake Basin are effective deployment of rational distribution for construction land and prevention from arable land being excessively eroded.
