Stress Resistance of Ammopiptanthus mongolicus Seeds during Germination Period

Ammopiptanthus mongolicus seeds were treated with PEG and NaCl solution of different concentration,and then the germination rate,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,and electrical conductivity,soluble protein and MDA contents of seedling leaves are measured.The results show that with the increasing of stress intensity,seed germination capability decreases,electrical conductivity of seedling leaves increases,and the MDA contents increase.Soluble protein contents increase when PEG concentration ranges from 5% to 15%,while decrease when the PEG concentration exceeded 15%.The soluble protein contents of seedling increase with the increasing of NaCl concentration when NaCl concentration ranges from 0 to 1.5%.The comprehensive analysis shows that the Ammopiptanthus mongolicus seeds have high drought resistance capability and salt tolerance.
