Study on growth characteristics of swine vascular endothelial cell in vitro

MU Yang, ZHANG Yan ming(College of Animal Science and Technology, Northwest Sci Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry, Yangling 712100, China)
The present experiment studied the growth cure of swine vascular endothelial cell (SVEC), the effect of basic media on cell growth, and the proper amount of insulin in cultivating liquid. From growth cure, the SVECs were in a lag phase at first one day after passage, then they entered logarithmic growth phase and can last two to three days. From the fifth day, they entered stagnate phage (plateau). They began to fall and die from the eighth day. M 199 was more appropriate as culture medium to SVEC than MEM. Adding issulin to cultivating liquid can evidently augment cells proliferation, and the optimum dose of insulin was 8 μg/mL.
