SPARK PLASMA SINTERING TECHNOLOGY

Wang Xiufen,Zhou Xiya(The school of material science and engineering,GuangZhou 510641)  
Spark Plasma Sintering process(SPS)is a new technique which is quick,low temperature,economize on energy and environmental protection for material preparation.In this paper,the development and application,the history,principle and features of SPS are reviewed.Application of the SPS process in materials preparation is also described.At the end of this paper,the prospects for the SPS technique are suggested.
