Effect of Milling Time on SiC Prepared by Acetylene Black and Silicon Powder

With acetylene black and silicon powder after different milling time as materials,silicon carbide powder was prepared by microwave sintering technology.The effects of milling time on the morphology,ratio surface area of reactant and XRD of production were studied.The experimental results showed that the milling could significantly promote the reaction between acetylene black and silicon powder.With the milling time increasing,the size of reactants was further refinement,and when the milling time is over 7 h,reactant ratio surface area did not change significantly; Milling had influences on the XRD of products.When the milling time was less than 7 h,the conversion rate of Si increased.When the milling time was over 7 h,the conversion rate of Si had no obvious change.
