3D Numerical Simulation of the Lining Structure under High Water Pressure in Mountain Tunnel

The mechanical behavior and deformation characteristics of lining structure in Yuanliangshan tunnel under high water pressure was analyzed by using 3D FEM numerical model. The results show that high water pressure observably affects on tunnel lining structure. High water pressure makes the internal force and deformation of lining structure increase. There is larger longitudinal bending moment in the lining structure. Water load is one of the main loads upon lining structure, which should be taken into adequate account.
