Psychological disorders and their effect on the therapeutic efficacy in type 2 diabetes

Objective To investigate the psychological disorders and their effect on the therapeutic efficacy in type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods FBG,PBG,HbA1c,TG,CH,urine albumine,urine Cr were tested in 120 T2DM patients(male 51,female 69),simultaneously the psychological status was evaluated with the measuring scales of SDS,SAS,PEI and EPQ.The effect of abnormal psychological status on treatment of type 2 diabetes was analyzed.Results 32.5% patients had depression,and 18.3% had anxiety.The scores of the patients were remarkably higher than those of the controls.The total scores of E,N,P of EPQ were higher and the score of PEI was lower in the patients with T2DM than those in the healthy subjects.Diabetes disease status of the patients with psychological disorders was more severe than that of the patients without abnormal psychology.Conclusions Psychological disorders are common in T2DM patients.The psychological disorders can effect the treatment effect and prognosis of type 2 diabetes.
