A clinical study on memory disorders in NIDDM patients

Wang Yan-gang;Wang Wei; Yu Hong-wei; et al(Affiliated Hospital of Qing Dao Medical College, Qing Dao 266003)  
Memory function was examined with clinical qantitative memory table in 44 NIDDM patients and 30 healthy control. Results indicate that pointed memory, association learning, image remembrance, the recognizance of senseless pictures,associated rernembrance of portait features, memory quotient(MQ) had obvious difference between study group and control group(P0.05). We also found that MQ in NIDDM patients accompanied by lacunar infarcts were poorer than those with out lacunar infarcts NIDDM patients(P0.05).MQ showed negative correlation with duration of disease indices, of hemorrheology,glycosylated hemoglobin and blood suger, positive correlation with blood insulin.
