The water stress detection system of winter wheat and summer maize

Yang Xiaoguang (China Agricultural University, Beijing 100094), Yu Huning (Geographical Institute, CAS,Beijing 100101)  
Based on the field experimental data of winter wheat and summer maize,the variation of leaf water potential and canopy-temperature discrepancy was analyzed and used as the index of wa-ter stress. This index could vary with growing season and the characteristics of variation was con-sidered. The relationship between leaf water potential, canopy-temperature discrepancy and soil water content was found, and then the detection system of crop water stress was set up.
