Influence of continuous nursing on illness cognition,self-management skill,recurrence in patients with urinary calculi

Objective To investigate the influence of continuous nursing on illness cognition,self-management skill and recurrence in patients with urinary calculi.Methods 80 patients with urinary calculi admitted into the hospital from June to December 2015 were selected as the control group,and 80 patients with urinary calculi admitted into the hospital from January to July 2016 were selected as the observation group.Patients in the control group was given routine nursing,while patients in the observation group was given continuous nursing based on the control group.The illness cognition,self-management skill and recurrence in two groups were observed.Results The cognitive rate of observation group(93.75%) was higher than that of control group(82.50%),with statistical difference(P 0.05).The obeying doctors′advice,drinking and diet,exercise,weight control,regular examination in the observation group were better than those in the control group,but the recurrence rate in observation group was lower than that in control group,with statistical differences(P0.05).Conclusion Continuous nursing in patients with urinary calculi can increase the rate of illness cognition,enhance the self-management skill of patients and effectively reduce the recurrence rate.
