Progresses of Non-ripening Tomato Gene nor Research Using AFLP Molecular Markers

This paper reviews the discovery process of the non-ripening tomato gene nor and the characteristics of nonripening tomato.The application of AFLP molecular markers in tomato breeding is reviewed.The application includes construction of genetic maps,gene targeting,marker assisted selection breeding,germplasm research and genetic purity test.The current challenge nor research and future prospect are also discussed.
