Genetic Diversity Analysis of Thick Skin Melon(Cucumis melo L.) Germplasm by Using SSR Markers

61 SSR primers were used to study genetic diversity of 46 thick skin melon accessions.52 SSR primers produced bands and 47 SSR primers produced polymorphism among the accession.Each primer pair produced 3.6 bands in average.The size of bands generated was 150-1 500 bp.154 bands(82.35%)of the 187 detected alleles showed polymorphism.Cluster analysis and genetic distance calculation were performed based on 12 fruit and plant traits and the marker data by using phylip and NTSYS 2.1.0 software.The genetic distances of 46 melon accessions are 0.0188-1.2119.The genetic distances of the melon accessions based on phenotypic data are smaller than 0.1.
