Effects of Dietary Iron on Anti-oxidative Function in Broiler Chick

The experiment with Fe added at O(Iron deficiency) or 110 mg/kg (Control) was conducted using 100 Avian chicks at 1 days old ,divided into two groups with repeats per group.Deionized water was supplied.All chicks were inoculated by the subcutaneous route with Mareks disease virus(MDV) freeze-dried vaccine at the first(primary) and fourteenth(secondary) day-old,also by the intranasal-intraocular routes with Newcastle disease virus(NDV) freeze-dried vaccine at the seventh(primary)and fourteenth(secondary)day-old.In comparison with basal plus 110 mg Fe/kg diet(Control),basal plus 0 mg Fe/kg (Iron deficiency)diet:the activity of CAT in liver,thymus,spleen and bursa F.was significantly decreased(P0.05) at 42 d resp.;the activity of GSHPX in liver,thymus,and spleen was significantly declined (p0.05) at 42 d resp,LPO content in liver,thmus,spleen and bursa F.was Significaltly enhanced(P0.05)at 42 d respectively.The results indicated that the diet with adding different amount of iron affected Anti-oxida
