Studies on the Spatial Distribution or Helicoverpa assulta/H.armigera in Tobacco Field──I.The Spatial Distribution and Density Estimation Techiques of Eggs of Helicoverpa assulta/H. armigera

The results showed that the eggs of Helicoverpa assulta/H.armigera gave an aggregate distribution in spring tobacco field from June to August.There are more eggs onhigher leaves of the tobacco plant than on the lower leaves.And 95% of eggs were deposited on the first to the eighth leaflets counted from the top of the plants after topping.It gave a,satisfactory estimate(D=0.15)to check 100 plants in each field, takingonly the eggs on the upper 8 leaves into account in June.Note:The authors of this article include also:Xie Deping Wang Yanxuan Wang Xue fen Liu Jianan Peng Guofang
