STUDY OF MULTIPLE MATHEMATICAL SIMULATION ABOUT THE COMBINATION OF FRACTURE KARST WATER DRAINAGE AND SUPPLY IN HEIWANG IRON MINE, SHANDONG PROVINCE

Heiwang Iron Mine, located in Zibo City, Shandong Province,is an open pit mine with annual mining capacity of several hundreds and thousands of tons. The ore beds are in the Middle Ordovician limestone.It is a water abundant mine with an average drainage of 61200 m 3/d, but the unpolluted drainage has not be utilized. There is a large water supply well field at Dawu,about 10 km downstream from the mine. At the well field, the groundwater has been over exploited and contaminated partly. It is very important for the local residents to combine water drainage with supply to mitigate the contradiction of local water supply.Based on the analysis of geological and hydrogeological conditions, we have studied the major control factors of mining water inrush, and predicted the quantities of mine drainage in the future by stepwise regression analysis and multi dimensional time series analysis; calculated the permissible mining yield and forecasted the groundwater levels before and after the mining period by finite element method;and evaluated the environmental influence after exploitating groundwater, and advanced a proposal for protecting the groundwater source.
