Contents of Polyphenol in Different Grades of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaves

Three main polyphenols-chlorogenic acid,scopletin and rutin were determined in flue-cured tobacco of Shandong with a high performance liquid chromatographic method.The distribution pattern of polyphenol content in flue-cured tobacco of various grades was investigated by using SAS analysis.The result showed that leaf color was the most important factor to the contents of polyphenols,and the stalk position,leaf structure,body had relations with polyphenols.
