ANALYSIS OF THE DISTRIBUTION AND MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OE BLACK SEED COAT SESAME GERMPLASM IN CHINA

In China,most black-seed coat sesame(Sesamum indicum)germplasm accessions distributed in central and south regions whereas few were colleced from north part of the country.The biological characteristics of these accessions varied considerably with the ecological areas collected,Few varieties were found to be tolerant to waterlogging.Two accessions showed highly resistant to Macrophomina phaseolina and other two redistant to Fusarium asinfectum var,sesami Zapr.The average oil and protein contents of the germplasm accessions were 50.80% and 20.80% respectively,while 8 with oil content over 57.00% and 4 with protein content over 26.00%.The average lenoleic acid content was 45.80% which was higher than that in other colour seed sesames.
