Research Advance on Hydrodynamic Techniques in Deep Sea Mining System

In this paper, research advance in deep sea mining system is presented, including deep sea mineral resources, related sea areas and different types of mining systems. Hydrodynamic techniques consist of hydrodynamic performance of mining dredger, dynamic responses of pipelines, vortex-induced vibration(VIV) of pipelines and stability of the mining dredger–pipelines–seabed basement system. This paper will provide a basis for the design and further application of the deep sea mining system.
