The Principle and Methodology of Delination of Potential Seismic Sources for Moderate Earthquakes in Northeast and North China

Yan Jiaquan Jia Sujuan (Institute of Geophysics, SSB, Beijing 100081, China)
The uncertainty of potential sources for moderate earthquakes has greater effects on results of seismic hazard analysis in weak seismicity regions, so it is the base of seismic regionalization and seismic hazard assessment for engineering sites to delineate potential sources with moderate earthquakes correctly. In this paper as an example, the au-thers analyzed a lot of basic data systematically, suggested principle and methodology of potential sources for moderate earthquakes in Northeast and North China, basedon quite a numben of case atudies, the results show that the principle and methodology developed in this paper has batter suitablity. It is also discussed about the progress obtained in thus pa-per and put forward some issues to te furture studied.
