Dynomical Implications of Earthquake Modelling Using Stochastic Cellular Automata

Combining with stochastic energy import and deterministic energy loss, in this paper it adopted a digital modelling for earthquake events by using stochastic cellular automata (CA), and also energy fractal dimension analysis and multifractal analysis for time sequences of "earthquake" events from this model. The preliminary results show that statistical energy-frequency distribution of lots of events can yield to the classic GutenbergRichter relations, both different energy initial statuses and propagation rules influence the output of model. The bvalue tightly correlates to model parameters. The complexity of earthquake phenomenon essentially may be both stochastic and deterministic.
