The Pretreatment of Wastewater from Waste Paper Based Mill by Microbial Flocculants

A new type of effective coagulant Microbial Flocculants(MBF-6) was prepared from aspergillus oryzae and used as coagulant in the treatment of papermaking wastewater.The experimental results showed that MBF-6 has a good coagulation effect in the treatment of aper making wastewater in a wide range of pH value.The removal rates of SS and CODCr is 95%,83% respectively in the condition where temperature is normal,pH value is 7.0 and dosage of the coagulant is 25 mL/L.The temperature has little impact on the removal rate of SS,but has impact on the removal rate of CODCr.In comparison with the conventional coagulants such as Al2(SO4)3 and FeCl3,the coagulation performance of MBF-6 is the best.The remarkable characteristics of this method are higher settlement rate and without adding salts which can deteriorate the paper making system when the salts are accumulated.
