The clinical value of percutaneous radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of liver tumor

Objective To analyze the local therapeutic efficacy, side effect, and complication of 44 patients with hepatocellular carcinorma and metastatic treated by rediofrequency ablation (RFA). Methods RFA was performed on 67 tumors in 44 patients under the guidance of CT scanning, and the patients were followed up from 2 to 6 months and the result was evaluated by applying plain and double phase spiral CT scanning. Results The complete coagulative necrosis rate was 92 3%, 90 5%, 81 8%, and 66 7%, respectively in tumors with diameter of less than 3 0 cm, 3 1~4 0 cm, 4 1~5 0 cm, and large than 5 1 cm Devascularity and/or reduction in size of the tumors were observed by contrast spiral CT scanning in those patients Conclusion RFA was safe, effective and reliable in the treatment of liver tumor
