A Survey of elder People's Quality of life in Guangzhou City

Zhong Hua sun,Xiao Liu hong,Li Zong liang,et al  
Acording to the schedule of survey for elder people's quality of life made by Epidemiology Group of Geriatric Medicine Committee of Chinese.1027 elder people living in Shishu road of Guangzhou city have been given an questionnaire and physical examination.As a result,82.2% elder people have chronic diseases and 54% elder people have more than two kinds of chronic disease at the same time.These chronic diseases resulted in activity restrict in 67.6% of the elderly people and abiotrophy in 2.4% of them .In economy,the elderly's income is generally low.70% of them only have 200 to 600 yuan per month.52% elder people think they have bad emonomic condition and 53.7% of them think they can't bear medical expense,This is the main reason that the old people can't go to see a doctor. Because of so many bad factors most elder people have bad feeling,for example,Loneliness,senility and uselessness. The elder people's remaining years will not be fine until their physical,psychological and mental health,condition of life and adaptability of society are improved.
