Influence of Magnetic Field on Plasma Beta endorphin

Objective This investigation aimed at effects of magnetic field on plasma beta endorphin and explored its analgesic neuroendocrine mechanism.Methods New Zealand rabbits and voluntary patients with pain were treated by magnetic instrument for 1 hour.Blood was collected by venipuncture.The radioimmunoassay was performed.Results The plasma beta endorphin concentration of magnetic field treated rabbits and patients increased significantly.There is no statistical difference between male and female.Conclusion Magnetic field increases plasma beta endorphin,which can be basis for its analgesic effect.
