<author> Shu-wu, HU Ji-qing, YU Shu-yan,DONG Cui-yu, WANG Jim, LI Jie. Department of Neurology, The People's Hospital of Rushan City, Rushan, Shandong Province 264500, China
abstractjective To compare with the different therapeutic means as to finding an optimal treatment. Methods Patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage ( HCH) were divided into three groups; one group with minimally invasive surgery, one with conservative treatment, and another with operation of opening cranium. Among them, 134 patients (minimally invasive surgery group) were treated by stereotactic computed tomographic (CT) guided drain and aspiration within the first 4 hours to 5 days. 134 patients (nonsurgery group) were only treated by medicine. 10 patients were treated by operation of opening cranium under general anesthesia. Results The clinical neurological deficient scale ( CNDS) showed remarkably significant difference between groups of minimally invasive surgery and the conservative treatment ( P 0.01 ) , 19. 91±13.55 and 34.55±10.93 respectively, being significantly different between the group of minimally invasive surgery and the group of opening cranium (P 0. 05) , 13. 60±11. 93 and 31. 20±17. 04 respectively. In following-up study, the number of survival patients having 1 ~2 grade on activities of daily living (ADL) were remarkably significant (P 0.01) , and the mortality was also (P 0.01) in between the group of minimally invasive surgery and the conservative treatment. Conclusion It is obvious that the benefit of minimally invasive surgery should be better than that of the conservative treatment and the operation of opening cranium, through the clinical observation and the following up study.
