Rehabilitation therapy after peripheral nerve injuries in the upper extremities

Objectives:To introduce the methods and results of comprehensive rehabilitation after peripheral nerve injuries in the upper extremities. Methods: A series measures of rehabilitation therapy were carried out in 22 patients of peripheral nerve injuries. These included neurotrophic medicines, splint, physical therapy, exercise therapy and occupational therapy. Results: The clinical results were satisfactory. Its effeciency was 95% , and the rate of excellent and good results was 86%. Conclusion: Whatever may be the choice of management after peripheral nerve injuries , conservative or operative therapy, simutaneous application of rehabilitation therapy can greatly improve the therapeutic effect.
