Nonoperative treatment of mallet finger

Abstract The results of nonoperative treatment of mallet finger in 28 cases were reported.After following-up,it was found that the results of Tile cases treated for 8 weeks were better than those for 6 weeks and the residual mallet deformity still had possibility of recovering.The mechanism might be:the period of scar formation was within 6 ̄8 weeks and scar contracted in 8 ̄12 weeks.Tile authots recommend that the treatment period should be 12 weeks.
