Objective To evaluate risk factors of the recurrence of hypertensive brain hemorrhage(HBH). Methods 221 cases with HBH were analyzed 47 of them suffered from recurrent brain hemorrhage. We analyzed the relationship between the blood pressure (systolic and diastolic blood pressure), age, sex, site of hemorrhage, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, heart ischemia and anticoagulant with the recurrence of HBH. Results Diastolic blood pressure in the group with rebleeding was significantly higher than that of the group without rebleeding. The recurrence rate was high in cases with diastolic blood pressure90 mmHg. There were no significant relations between other factors and recurrence of HBH. Conclusion The present study indicated that diastolic blood pressure was the main risk factor for recurrence of HBH.
