A Study on Fire Resistant Property of Serially Isolated System of Laminated Rubber Bearing and RC Column

This paper presents a numerical analysis of the temperature field of laminated rubber bearing under high-temperature.A heat transfer and temperature field distribution test is performed using a small-scale model rubber bearing.After experiencing a high-temperature of 420℃,the laminated rubber bearing was serially connected on top of RC column,and the serially isolated system is cyclically tested subjected to compression and shear.The result shows that the mechanical performance of laminated rubber bearing under high-temperature degraded seriously,and severe distortion may occur in the loaded rubber bearing when subjected to a relatively high-temperature.A protection measure of rubber bearing against fire seems to be essential for maintaining the load bearing capacity of the bearing in practical engineering.
