Physiological and Biochemical Analysis of Artificially Aged Pepper Seed

Some physiological and biochemical changes were investigated before and after the artificial aging of pepper seeds.The results showed that the germination rate,germination enegy,germination index and vigor index were reduced in aging seed.The electrical conductivity were raised with increasing aging time and its changes were coincident with the germination rate.The activities of catalase decreased in the seeds of aged seed,but the dehydrogenase activities had no significant difference between the seeds of different aging time.
