The Use of Successive Backcrosses in Transfer of Dual-Purpose Sterile Lines

When An-NoneS-1 was used as donor of sterile gene and a conventional rice variety was used as a recurrent Parent to do successive backcrosses, genie sterile plants whose fertility could be transformed were found with higher frequency in F2.The degree of sensitivity of F2 sterile plants to low temperature and the period of their transformation to sterility would be different. if the recurrent patents used were not identical in the paper the method to choose dna1Mpurpose genie male sterile lines and the role of conventional rice varieties i4 transfer of dual-purpose genie male sterile lines are also discccssed.
