Breeding of Indica PTGMS Line Shenhan 1S in Water-saving and Drought-resistant Rice

Derived from the cross of HD 9802 S and Huhan 1B,Shenhan 1S is a new photo-thermo-sensitive genetic male sterile line( PTGMS) in water-saving and drought-resistant rice( WDR). It shows the characteristics of complete and stable male sterility with 100% of sterile plants and pollen sterility,low critical temperature( 23℃),good flowering habits with high outcrossing rate,good grain quality and strong drought resistance. It was technically identified by Shanghai Crop Variety Release Committee in 2015.
