Asymptotic waveform evaluation technique based on discrete wavelet transform and its application

The asymptotic waveform evaluation(AWE) technique based on discrete wavelet transform(DWT) was applied to the method of moments to solve combined-field integral equation(CFIE).The wide-band radar cross section of arbitrarily shaped two-dimensional perfect electric conduct object was calculated with the AWE technique based on DWT combined with conjugate gradient(CG) and generalized minimal residual(GMRES) methods.The employment of CFIE eliminates interior resonance problems.The numerical results were compared with the results obtained by the method of moments.It was shownthatthecomputationalefficiencywasimprovedgreatlyandthatthememoryneededwasreduceddrastically.
