Research progress of novel iron oxide nanomaterials

The iron oxide nanomaterials have different morphologies and structures, which include nanoparticles, nanorods,nanoribbons, nanofilms, and so on. Their excellent physical and chemical properties show good prospect of applications in so many fields, such as catalysis, magnetic materials, biomedicine, etc. The research of the preparation and applications of iron oxide nanomaterials with novel morphologies and structures has become one of the forefront and hot topics in the field of nanomaterials. The preparation, structures and applications of novel iron oxide nanomaterials were summarized. The problems to be solved and possible future prospect of development were discussed.
