Thermodynamic calculation of precipitated phase in 25Cr3Mo2NiWVNb steel

On the basis of the chemical composition of 25Cr3Mo3 NiNb steel,the 25Cr3Mo2 NiWVNb steel with superior property was obtained by adding vanadium,tungsten and reducing the mass fraction of molybdenum.The possibly precipitated equilibrium phases were calculated and the effects of these three alloying elements were analyzed by Thermo-calc software.The results show that the carbides precipitated at 800~1 800 Kare MC,M23C6 and M6C.With the increase of the vanadium content,the mass fraction of MC phase increases,while both the mass fraction and the precipitated temperature of M23C6 phase decrease.The increase of the tungsten content can lead to a decrease of the mass fraction of M6 C phase but an increase of both the mass fraction and the precipitated temperature of M23C6 phase.Molybdenum plays an important role on M6 C and M23C6,as the molybdenum content increases,the mass fraction of M6 C phase decreases while both the mass fraction and the precipitated temperature of M23C6 phase increase.
