A Study between the Sense of Efficacy and Occupational Stress of Middle School Teachers

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the sense of efficacy and occupational stress of middle school teachers. Methods: 187 teachers' sense of efficacy and occupational stress were studied through the questionnaire methods. Results: ①Teachers of key middle schools got higher scores on occupational stress than teachers of ordinary middle schools; ②Correlation analysis showed significant negative correlation between PTE and occupational stress; interpersonal relation, examination stress, stress of occupational development and promotion were effective predictable variables of PTE; workload stress, examination stress predicted GTE. Conclusion: Teachers' occupational stress can predict their sense of efficacy.
