The Contributory and Mechanism of Psychosocial Factors in the Onset of Diabetes Mellitus Ⅰ. Theoretical framework

Psychosocial factors have been thought as some effects to contribute to the on set ofdiabetes mellitus in human by a number of researches in recent twenty years. However, reports of precipitating factors have been retrospective and unique variable, and therefore of questionable validity. Especialily, it's not very clear of the effect's characteristics and mechanism of psychosocial factors. We started this research program under grant of National Fund of Natural Science in 1995. In this article, we propose a theoretical framework which includes: (1) the process model of longitudinal and systematic research; (2) hypothetic theoretical model of interaction within the psychosocial factors, and (3) hypothetic biological medium mechamsm of the effects of psychosocial factors.
