Discussion on Location Choice of National Reserve Forest:A Case Study of Cunninghamia lanceolata Plantation in Wugai Shan National Forest Farm

The national reserve forest system is a strategic choice to transform forestry development mode and develop modern forestry,which isconducive to improve timber production capacity and enhance timber self-sufficiency. In order to cultivate large-diameter timber forest,site,seedlings and method should be combined.The foundation is to select the appropriate natural conditions of the region. Taking the Cunninghamia lanceolata plantation of Wugai Shan National Forest Farm in Suxian district of Chenzhou city for example,this paper exploredthe selection method of reserve regions and the appropriate cutting age,from the perspective of forest management,in order to solve the problems of where to reserveand reservefor how long of reserve forest.
