Effect of Infrasound on the Level of Peptide YY in Rat Intestinal Mucosa

Objective:To study the effect of infrasound with different frequencies and intensity on the level of pertide YY(PYY) in rat intestinal mucosa.Methods:140 male SD rats were allocated in control group,8Hz-90dB group,8Hz-130dB group,16Hz-130dB group.The experimental groups were exposed to infrasound with 8Hz-90dB or 8Hz-130dB or 16Hz-130dB,2 h/day,and the control group was only placed in infrasonic storehouse without infrasound exposure.PYY level in intestinal mucosa membrane was detected by radioimmunoassay.Results:Compared with control group,at the first day,there was no significant difference in PYY content.PYY content in each group was increased at the 7th,14th,21st,28th day(P0.05).At the 14th day,PYY content had the highest level,and as compared with 7th day,there was significant difference(P0.05).At the 21st and 28th day,PYY content was decreased.PYY content was increased with the increases of frequency and intensity of infrasound.Conclusion:Infrasound with 8Hz-90dB or 8Hz-130dB or 16Hz-130dB,could result in the increased PYY in intestinal mucosa of rats,which was related to the frequency,intensity and action time of infrasound.The rats had adaptability to multi-exposure of infasound.
