Analyzing Fatty Acid Composition of Cabbage Mustard Seed Oil by GC-MS

The cabbage mustard seed oil was extracted with Soxhlet method.The oil sample was methyl-esterificated,and then was analyzed by GC-MS.About 19 kinds of fatty acid are isolated and identified.The main components are α-linolenic acid(31.64%),linolic acid(16.08%),eicosanoic acid(15.94%),oleic acid((15.79%)),palmitic acid(5.93%),stearic acid(3.15%),etc.The total content of saturated fatty acids is(11.80%) and that of unsatured fatty acids is 85.79%.
